Smile Sis!

Firstly let me start of with something that's been on my mind recently, I really don't know how I feel about the word "sis" I feel like its now being  used as a patronising term at first it was a way of acknowledging fellow women to show we are sisters ! but now its turned into  a way to talk down to someone like "your man wont leave me alone , SORRY SIS", it just really upsets but non the less what on the internet doesn't. Secondly I want to talk about a recent encounter that I had with someone and how it got  me thinking, So I was on the escalator and i made eye contact with another  black girl I smiled at her but she screwed up her face and kissed her teeth now this is really not the first time this has happed. It seems like whenever I acknowledge  another black girl i always get strange responses, why are we like this towards each other , it seems like as black women we put each other down  more than we lif...
